We just had a long weekend thanks to the Queen who had her birthday sometime. Her is a snippet from about.com:
"It celebrates the birthday of Queen Elizabeth II who is not only Queen of the United Kingdom but also Queen of Australia and New Zealand, where the Queen's Birthday is a public holiday celebrated on a Monday but on different dates." The fact the the queen really has her birthday in April is irrelevant ;-) After the shooting we went to the start of the red rock walk to see if we were gonna go all the way to the red rocks and see the seal colony. In the end we never made it more than 200-300 meters down the beach (the walk is 5km) and that took us about 40 minutes. In that time we had taken 200 photos and I managed to not get out of the way from a wave in time and got my shoes soaked and it had started to rain, so we gave up the atempt, maybe for the better. Instead we watched Eurovision song contest that Kim had downloaded... So I now I too know how the finish monsters looked. On that extra day we got thanks to the queen we started nicely with a big burger breakfast (for me anyways) and while we were sitting there Ahmed called and wondered if we wanted to go to Staglands. Said and done, we went to staglands with Ahmed, Cory and Helen. Staglands is a park with loads of animals that all expect you do feed them. Every single animal at the place ate from your hand, anything from peacocks to mountain goats (and even their old dog) and all the animals played in harmony with each other. That was alot of fun, I havnt had time to go trough the photographs yet but I bet there are some nice ones in there. I will post them as soon as I have a spare moment. In the evening we watched The guru which was plenty silly but still funny - if you are tired and in the right mode that is... because it really was silly. Today when I got in to work the marketing guy was printing mailouts (paper spam) in fact he was printing so many that the printer literally smoked... I might post some picture later. I found new shoes today too... which is nice because my old ones were really really lousy ! When I got back to the office I found some change in my pocket and I just couldnt figure out why... Took me like 50 seconds to remember that I bought something else too earlier and that I must have left it in the shoe shop... which I had... Sometimes I'm just soooo smart. |
