It all started yesterday morning when I woke up... I kinda felt like doing something and since it was such a glorious day what better to do than go out to the Red rocks and watch some seals.
Said and done, I took a bus out in the right direction. Sadly the bus dosnt go all the way and on weekends it even goes shorter so I got to the end of the line, got of and walked down to the ocean.

Thats when it hit me in full force, the weather wasnt just glorious it was in fact divine. Not checking the temperature before leaving I was wearing a tshirt, a sweater and a jacket... that quickly became just a tshirt.
I wasn't alone enjoying the weather tho, I passed people who were walking their dogs (in alot of cases with the dog in the ocean), people everywhere was out taking a walk, skateboarding or playing on the playgrounds.
Loads of people where out with their boat, canoe, surfboard or simply out fishing. Some people took the oportunity to wash their car for possibly the last time this winter.
I got down to the start of the beach and started walking, when I stoped to take a few pictures. I was listening to music at the same time so I didnt really hear much and all of a sudden I got this little nudge like someone usually does when they sneak up on someone they know. So i turned around, wondering who on earth would know me out here... But it was just a very very playfull doggie :-)
Very friendly and playful.

When I finally reached the devils pass It was hard not to see seals, they where everywhere, and since the sun had just rounded a big mountain they were showered in sun which they seemed to enjoy quite a bit.
They did know where people was around them but they let people really close without showing any real interest.
When I got back to town I had been walking for 3.5 hours, climbing some rocks and taking loads of pictures but it was worth it.
Once back in civilisation I got messages from Andrew (no coverage out at red rocks) and he was wondering if I wanted to go to a party and then watch Swedens soccer game against trinidad tobego.
I said yes but really needed to rest a bit so I went straight home and slept for an hour or so, then went over to Andrews place. The place we were invited to was in Newlands (where Ahmed lives) or thats what Andrew said... We took the car, got out there and then when Andrew was going to look mer exactly where we were going he figure out it was NORTHlands not NEWlands so we were way off, northlands isnt very far from where we live in fact :-)
We got back found the right road, and thats when we made a pretty amusing discovery... You could go onto that road for numbers 1 to 10... but then there was just a walkway connecting to the rest of the road, and the rest of the road was also one way... To go around and get in at the right place took 10 minutes from the time we were at one end of the street !
You just gotta love Wellington city planers.
The party was very soccer orientated and no one could believe that a Swede could be so oblivious to it all... oh well now they know, not everyone loves soccer.
When we were going home we used a cool service, instead of calling a cab we used call-a-driver and they send out a driver and drives you wherever you wanna go in your own car. smart !
The call a driver guy was pretty late so we arrived in town about mid game england vs paraguay but we watched the rest of the game in a bar in town... now this was about 2am and I must here make an observation...
Soccer is way way waaaay better when it's played during a saturday night and you watch it in a bar with loads of people imenced in the game... And of course being drunk greatly enhances the game too.
And then having Adriana next to me (a soccer crazy brazilian girl) didnt make it worse :-)
After the game we had about another hour before the Swedish game so we played some foosball, sad to say Sweden lost against New Zealand there :-(
Now, going to the Swedish game I was sporting my SWEDEN scarf that Henric and Josse gave me before I left... I was getting comments everywhere on the streets and everyone was rooting for Sweden :-)
One guy I met was on his way into the same bar as us when he saw the scarf and said he was meeting another Swede inside, so we were introduced... so now I know yet another Swede in Wellington. She was way more interested in the game than me tho... but it was fun.
Sadly tho... with 44 minutes to go Trinidad Tobego got a red card and for the remainder of the game it was 11 vs 10 players and still Sweden did not manage to score a single goal... thats just bad !
Some of the other people I met there thought I took it all with such a cool... little could they know that I didnt really care... And when I replied that in the end it's just a sack of leather with some air in it that people kick around they prompted me to remove my scarf since I obviouslly wasnt worthy :-)
In the end I got home sometime past 6am... what a day... today is going to be way way way more relaxed.

That was only meant for her inspiring rooting, cheering and booing of the teams nothing else.
