Great farewell party Ahmed should leave more often ;-)

This friday we were at boogie wonderland to say farewell to Ahmed now that he's off to the army knife land.

The place was cool with flashing dance floor like the travolta movie and just the golden oldies playing all night long :-)
Im gonna post some images from that event later when I empty my camera.

Saturday was pretty much just spent treating the heavy head that one can sometimes get from staying up late on a fridays ;-)
I managed to get a haircut to, Kim said it looked good so maybe it does, cant really say im to responsible for the outcome. I was just sitting there trying not to get to much light in my eyes.

Andrey lured me into playing Civ 4 which is one of those just-another-round-then-i-will-go-to-bed games that ended 5 in the mornign... and it didnt really end either I just said zzZZzzZZzzz

Sunday was the big slack around and do absolutely nothing day, had gotten out of bed _and_ eaten breakfast by around 4pm.
Then we just watched some lost, the pink panther and The world's fastest indian.

I still dont like Steve martin but as far as a totally silly movie goes I kinda liked pink panther... but yes it was very silly.

The fastest indian was very good, as kim put it: never boring.
I think it showed how well many fascinating people you can get to know if you just have the right attidude... and Im willing to bet this hasnt really changed in the last 40 years.

Today i had a very interesting bug here at work.
My web projects wouldnt work any more and I just couldnt figure out why. It just said something along the line of ASP.NET 1.1 not installed.
The machine had been turned off during the weekend and I had not installed anything this week nor last week. I was puzzled.

First I thought that maybe windows update or something automatically installed .net 2.0 but no traces of anything like that... Chris (techie) couldnt find anything and neither could I but nothing worked.

After a while i figured that maybe it was the IIS rather than the asp.net... so i browsed to localhost.... you can say I was quite surprised when up came statistics for my software phone (voIP)!?!

Closed the phone software, everything worked, opened the phone software again and nothing worked....
And I have not updated the phone or anything, nothing has changed.... thank you cisco !!!

after googling a bit I found a simple hack to do in the registry to turn off the internal web server in my phone so now it all works again.

well thats all up until this point in time... I'll finish off by saying that Sweden is going to be playing England at 7am local NZ time on wednsday so Andrew called me last night and said we just had to watch it.
I think we are going to go and watch it at the James Cook hotel (20 meters from my work) on their big plasma tvs and order in some breakfast to go with that.

Then Tim my boss said he was coming too and he is from great britain... het better root for Sweden !

Lets see if anyone else will join too... anyone is welcome... Kim might join us for the first part of the game.

I just have to confirm with the hotel that they really will show the game and all.

Really doesn't matter who wins. The important part is that the Swedish hooligans beat the crap out of the Brittish hooligans :)
Why watch a bunch of sweaty guys chasing a little ball, when you can watch streetfighting?
